The affix ठञ् (+/- -- इक) comes in the sense of 'being fallen into this or thrown into it' after the word संशय in the Accusative -2nd case in construction.

Thus संशयमापन्नः प्राप्तः = सांशयिकः स्थाष्टः "a doubtful pillar", i.e. in a precarious state.
