In some of the above compounds the टि (syllable) is elided. शोभनं प्रातरस्य = सुप्रातः, शोभनं श्वोऽस्य = सुश्वः, शोभनं दिवाऽस्य = सुदिवः ॥ शारेरिव कुक्षिरस्य = शारिकुक्षः, चतस्रोऽश्रयोऽस्य = चतुरश्रः, एण्या इव पादावस्य = एणीपदः, So अजपदः, प्रोष्ठो गौः, तस्येव पादावस्य = प्रोष्ठपादः ॥
