Commentary
The word आगवीन is irregularly formed.
This word is formed by adding ख to the word गो preceded by the preposition आ, as आगो + ख = आगवानः ॥ The force of the affix is that of 'a servant'. A person who is engaged in business till the return of the cows, i.e. a day-labourer.
