The affix ठञ् comes in the sense of मतुप् after the words 1. शत and 2. सहस्र when they follow after निष्क.

Commentary

The affix ठञ् comes in the sense of मतुप् after the words 1. शत and 2. सहस्र when they follow after निष्क।
Thus निष्कशतमस्यास्ति = नैष्कशतिकः, नैष्कसहस्रिकः ॥ But not so after सुवर्णनिष्कशतं, it being never so found in usage.
