The affixes of the परस्मैपद are used optionally after the denominative verbs ending in the affix क्यष.

The affixes of the परस्मैपद are used optionally after the denominative verbs ending in the affix क्यष।
The affix क्यष is ordained by sutra 3.1.12 भृशादिभ्यो भूव्यच् वेर्लोपश्च हलः after the words लोहित &c. These roots take optionally parasmaipada. As लोहितायति or ते he reddens. पटपटायति or ते he makes pat pat.
