A सार्वधातुक affix beginning with a consonant other than य gets the augment इट् after the root रुद् - रुधादिगणः (7th Conjugation) and the four that follow it.

A सार्वधातुक affix beginning with a consonant other than य gets the augment इट् after the root रुद् - रुधादिगणः (7th Conjugation) and the four that follow it.
Thus रोदिति, स्वपिति, श्वसिति, प्राणिति, जक्षिति ॥ But जागर्ति which is beyond the five, and स्वप्ता before ardhadhatuka affixes, and रुदन्ति before a vowel beginning affix.
