Commentary
The द्वन्द compounds like दधिपय etc. are not singular.
Thus दधिपयसी 'the curd and the milk'; सर्पिर्मधुनी or मधुसर्पिषी 'the clarified butter and the honey.'
With this sutra begins prohibition of singular number which previous sutras would have caused.
